Please join us at SHACC on Saturday, March 19 for a rare special screening of Bud Browne's classic film, Locked In. This is the first West Coast showing in over 4 decades! Hosted by Bud's longtime friend and caretaker, Anna Trent Moore and author John Engle, we've lined up some special guests from the movie as well—Linda Benson, Joyce Hoffman, LJ Richards, and Ron Sizemore. Mr. Engle will be bringing a copy of the first surfing cartoon, Bobby Bumps, Surf Rider, from Bray Productions, 1917 (courtesy of Tommy Stathes of the Bray Animation Project and Cartoons on Film) as well as signing copies of his new book, Surfing in the Movies, A Critical History. Anna Trent Moore will have copies of her latest book, Laughing at Water,available for purchase and signing, too.
This event is $5 for SHACC members, $10 for non-members and with limited seating, we're expecting the event to Sell Out.
